Wild Rutland is an exciting new nature, wildlife and adventure reserve set within 1200 acres of Rutland countryside.

Veteran tree, Rutland
Planning permission is being sought for this new conservation-inspired visitor attraction. It is hoped the project will include the reintroduction of species such as Eurasian brown bears, grey wolves and Eurasian lynx.
The scheme’s aim is for largescale species reintroduction and habitat enhancement and restoration, including a SSSI woodland. We are the ecology lead for the project, including species baseline surveys and assessment. The results will link into habitat and species protection, mitigation measures and ultimately into overall site enhancement and long-term management and operational plans. We are advising the project team on ideal scheme development design options, to maximise biodiversity gain.
